SPARK is pleased to welcome Dr Elena Broda as the team’s new postdoctoral research fellow.

Elena will lead the German case studies and oversee quantitative data collection across the wider project. She brings strong expertise in quantitative research design and data analysis.

Prior to joining SPARK, Elena recently completed her PhD in Political Communication at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her dissertation titled “Between Fact and Fiction: Media Effects on Misperceptions over time” investigated the relationship between news use and belief formation in a context of misinformation across a range topics such as climate change and vaccines. Her broader research examines the dynamics of politics, communication, and knowledge, and their implications for democracy.
